I've seen many of Mark's original drawings and all exhibit very clever layout, remarkable facial reproduction, extraordinary detail and scale.
In the drawing above Mark captures perfectly the colors and "feel" of that Ontario day: the sky, the unbroken wooded shoreline, the ice, the shadows, the excitement of the catch and the handsome and capable angler.
The original hangs in my mother's house. Visitors there are typically amazed to find that it is a pencil drawing.
I continue to be amazed by his unique abilities with pencil and paper.
